in the heart of the Alpilles
La Peiriero Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Fontvieille, on the road which leaves Fontvieille, crosses the Vallée des Baux, to Baux de Provence.
Fontvieille village is a short walk from the hotel. At all hours and at any time of the year, it offers the unique decor of an authentic provençal village: typical stone houses with old fashioned veranda’s, ancient wells, large and narrow roads, tiled rooves, shady terraces and of course the famous Daudet Mill, made famous by Alphonse Daudet and his “Lettres de Mon Moulin” (Letters from My Mill). Perched on it’s hill, this mill has become one of the symbols of Provence.
